March 11, 2023 the diocesan led a Lenten Morning of Reflection hosted by St. John The Apostle.  We invited our fellow sisters from Alexandria-Cornwall to join our Lenten spiritual time together. We began the morning with Mass celebrated by our Spiritual Advisor, Father Gerard Plant followed by the Stations of the Cross as seen through Mary’s sorrowful heart. Before our guest speaker we had some social time, what a great opportunity for the members of both diocesans to share conversations over a tea or coffee!

Our noted guest speaker was Giovanna Mingarelli, the Canadian Chair and Chair Emeritus for Global Dignity, an International non-profit organization that empowers eight million people with dignity in 80 countries. Giovanna’s topic was ‘Kindness’.  She discussed the ongoing #UniteKindness campaign, with a goal of empowering people to be kind. Giovanni is working with various religious leaders around the world to bring about 1 billion acts of kindness in three years. To date, the campaign has aggregated over 3.5 million acts of kindness around the world. Giovanna is hoping to meet with the Pope at the Vatican this fall.

A great time was had in sisterhood!
